Somerset Police are searching for a truck that may have been involved in a Sunday night hit & run.

Police say that at around 6:15 p.m. a female was struck on Brayton Ave. near Saint John of God Church.

The vehicle didn't stop and fled the scene crossing the town line into Swansea.

The victim suffered serious injuries after being knocked to the ground.

No one was able to get a license number but the vehicle was described as as a red colored, two door, older model, small/medium sized pick-up truck.

Police say a driver’s side mirror from a Ford product was recovered at the scene and it was determined that the suspect vehicle is most likely a Ford Ranger or Mazda pick-up 1998-2001 model.

Witnesses also said that the vehicle has a loud exhaust.

The truck should look similar to the one posted in this webpost.

Anyone with information about this accident or may know of a vehicle matching that description is asked to contact the Somerset Police Department at 508-679-2138.
