Somerset Girl To Receive Prosthetic Leg Donation
An eight-year-old girl from Somerset will be receiving a new prosthetic running leg this weekend, thanks in part to the Heather Abbott Foundation.
Kori Tickel lost her leg in a lawn mover accident when she was two-years-old, but it has never stopped her from enjoying the sports she loves.
And now Kori is going to be giving her friends a run for their money on the soccer field with a new prosthetic running leg that she will receive this Saturday, November 14th, at the Boston Athletic Club.
The donation comes in part from the Heather Abbott Foundation and Abbott herself, along with another Boston Marathon bombing survivor, Roseann Sdoia, will be there on Saturday.
Abbott even posted her excitement for young Kori on her foundation's Facebook page.
