A lot of people will celebrate a little too much tonight, and will then pay the price on New Year's Day.   There are the tried and true ways to make sure the day is somewhat bearable.  

One study shows that drinking coffee and consuming non-prescription painkillers are effective.   So too is drinking lots of non-alcoholic fluids like water and sports drinks.   And one doctor says you can lessen the effect of a hangover by taking 2 aspirin before you go to bed.

The good doctor adds that the best fix is to avoid mixing different types of alcohol, and to stop as soon as you feel yourself getting a bit tipsy.  Good luck and have a Happy New Year.
