Tri-town children have had a rough winter.  They have been denied the only pizza in town for months due to renovations.  Renovations hadn't been done at the Mattapoisett staple in over 40 years.  Interestingly enough, one of the delays was that a gas tank was found when they were digging for the new foundation.  The lot had been home to an Esso gas station back in the 1940's.

After a 5 week absence, the restaurant will finally reopen tomorrow morning with it's same staff and same secret recipe.  I got a sneak peak inside the newly renovated Nick's Pizza.  What used to be the back room is now open space, however Nick's says it can still be reserved for birthday parties.
