Sick Of Expensive Rent, Consider This

YouTube/ Alek Lisefski

A 31-year old guy from Iowa got sick of the cost of expensive rent and the high costs of owning a large home, so he did something about it.His name is Alek and he lives with his girlfriend Anjali and their dog Anya.  He said he built the house because he wanted to change his focus in life.  He says, “Inhabiting such a small space will force me to live in a simpler, more organized and efficient way.”

So he built his own home, but not just any home.  He built a very small, efficient, functional home on wheels!  The house is 8×20 ft, and only cost him $30,000 to build.  He says he and his family can now focus on leisure and travel instead of paying down debt.

The house was built when Alek was living in Iowa, but since it was built on wheels, it was easily moved to California where he and his family live now.

" “Inhabiting such a small space will force me to live in a simpler, more organized and efficient way.”"

It kind of makes you think, doesn’t it?  What do we have in our homes that we could live without?  Probably lots of things!  It would be a tough adjustment, at least at first, but I think living in this tiny (absolutely adorable) home could work for me!  I just love this idea!!
