According to prediction, Southern Massachusetts could see above average snow fall in the 2012-2013 winter season. Is it going to be worse that past years?

Back in 2010, we had a pretty harsh winter. 2011 and the beginning of 2012 on the other hand was pretty mild. So of course we would hope for the same this time around heading into 2013.

As of right now, it looks like the Southcoast could see above average snow fall. So why is that? They say it all has to do with cold weather phasing in with the current jet stream. New Bedford and the surrounding area may get hit a little hard. Let us not forget about last years October storm.
