The New Bedford City Council is looking to convince Dairy Queen to come to New Bedford.  I'm not sure everyone on the Southcoast will be happy about this.

The issue with this idea is that we have some of the best creameries here on the Southcoast and Dairy Queen is already adding another location in Plymouth and there is already one in Middleboro and Falmouth.

New Bedford City Councilor Ian Abreu says "This is not an attack on small business, we just want to make sure we are open to any company or corporation"

A huge positive to having a Dairy Queen is that even though they won't be serving food, they are open year round compared to other creameries in the area which are typically open from March through December.
