Several FUN listeners called the FUN Morning Show Friday morning about a possible senior prank at New Bedford High School which involved vandalism overnight and all students, faculty, and staff were not allowed in the building.

To get first-hand accounts of the situation, we sent our FUN Morning Show interns, Holly and Kara, to the scene. New Bedford Superintendent Dr. Pia Durkin went live on-air with Michael Rock, Loren, and Larry to let all the listeners know exactly the situation and the measures being taken to clean up the mess.

She said that overnight the Home Economics department was vandalized and fire extinguishers were set off. For safety and precautionary measures, New Bedford High School was closed and students were sent home. She also stated that 1 out of every 10 students has asthma and the particles released from the extinguishers could still be in the air. No students and faculty were harmed. Buses and transportation were provided to take the students back home.
