Selena Gomez is a busy gal, aside from being a single one. With her against-type role in 'Spring Breakers' about to be on big screens at the multiplex in a few weeks, the Nylon cover girl is returning to one of her other loves. No, not Justin Bieber.

She is making music again after a brief hiatus, and she shared photos of herself rocking out in the studio.

In one pic, she tweeted: "I can make the Stars Dance... @rock_mafia" and referenced Rock Mafia, the writing and production team with whom she is likely working on this masterpiece.

Then she tweeted: "It's a sad, sad serenade @rock_mafia."

Could those be lyrical references?

Nevertheless, we love seeing Sel in her natural state, in a studio and singing. She looks like she is having fun.

In keeping with her busy life and lifestyle, she celebrated her Nylon cover with a party co-sponsored by Coach in Los Angeles on Tuesday, Jan. 29.

So why Sel may no longer be one-half of one of the teen pop universe's most famous couples, she is moving forward with her life.

We have to wonder if she listened to the songs her ex penned for his acoustic EP, such as the achingly heartbreaking 'Nothing Like Us.' That has to melt some of the ice off her heart.
