Massachusetts stands strong against other households in America, because the average annual income for those in the Bay State is $66,866.

Interestingly enough the Northeast seems to be concentrated with households who make $60,000 or more. States like New Hampshire, Connecticut and New Jersey appear to have the household’s that make the most in the United States.

Out of the 50 states the Census Bureau shows that only 10 states, including the District of Columbia, have an average household income more than $60,000 or more.

According to latest data available provided by the United States Census Bureau, the median household income for the average American household was $53,046 in 2013.
