Hundreds of police officers will be on patrol around Fenway Park for tonight's game 1 of the 2013 World Series.   There are also more than a dozen bomb technicians looking for explosives.   The law enforcement community has modified its security plans in light of the Boston Marathon bombings back in April.

In the event of a series-clinching game at Fenway Park, there will be thousands of officers on duty.   The city also said that cars in garages and parking lots around the park will not be able to leave after the 7th inning if such a game takes place in Boston.

Boston police will have about 500 officers around the park tonight.   They Also have 14 officers who specialize in finding bombs conducting sweeps at and around the park.

Fans have been told not to wear backpacks around Fenway Park today and tonight.  They are also being asked to report any suspicious activity.   The fans have also been urged to take public transportation, and bar owners are being told to disperse any crowds lined up outside of their businesses.
