In Boston, a US Airways flight got a security scare involving some luggage.

According to USA Today, US Airways Flight 1716, which arrived from Philadelphia, was detained on the runway as a baggage handler in Boston apparently became concerned about a piece of checked luggage from that flight after it fell off a baggage cart and made a noise that sounded like a bang.

Massport, which operates Logan Airport, offered a statement:

Out of an abundance of caution a US Airways flight was remotely parked at the airfield while a bag on board was examined. The passengers were bused to the terminal, the baggage was deemed harmless, and the flight taxied to the gate. Airport operations were not impacted.

I don't blame people for being jittery. I would. That Boston Marathon bombing has got everyone feeling a little jumpy.
