You heard it here folks. The secret to staying together for 7 decades, as told by George Parent, is to be a good "giver-inner." That means "you give in no matter whether you're right or wrong." George and Fern Parent have lasted 70 years together, and these days that's something to be cherished.

George believes this attitude helped the couple get through tough times, like serving overseas in WWII. "She runs the house. Anything she says, goes." Fern is now in hospice care, but all George wants is for her to get better and get out of bed.
