Seaport Inn Could Be a Destination for April Vacation

My kids think I'm the worst dad. All I've heard about for the past few days is how "EVERYBODY" else is going on amazing getaways for the school vacation week. Disney, Outer Banks, the Bahamas. One exotic destination after another. Apparently we are the only family in the entire school district that ISN'T doing something amazing this week. Of course, this is far from the truth...but try telling that to my kids!

I'm SO BORED. What are we going to do today??? Somehow it's my responsibility to come up with a list of fun things to entertain them at all times.

That being said, they ARE great kids. Are we going to the Bahamas this week? Sadly, no. But I did have an idea that I wanted to pass along to you.

Let me preface this by saying that THEY DID NOT PAY ME OR THE RADIO STATION TO SAY THIS. We got a room over the weekend at the Seaport Inn in Fairhaven and spent Saturday night/Sunday morning "on vacation" in our hometown. We swam in the AMAZING pool which is accented by colorful lights, has an incredible sound system and multiple large screen TV's. We enjoyed the food from the phenomenal chef at the Seaport Inn Grill (and even got 15% off for showing our room key).

The best part of the weekend happened when I was heading down to the pool for the first time. I realized that I had forgotten my book at home...so I just drove home quickly and picked it up. Try doing THAT next time you're on vacation!
