News broke Wednesday afternoon that a man had gotten onto a shuttle bus at Salem State University in Salem, MA, and stabbed two people. 

After the incident on the bus, Salem State was put into lock down. Students were ordered to shelter in place while a search was done the alleged perpetrator.

It was later learned that the man connected to the stabbings was 25-year-old Timothy Wells of Woburn, MA. He was a student at the university. According to WCVB, Wells was arrested on Upstate New York's Taconic Parkway in Chatham, NY on Wednesday night.

The two stabbing victims, a female student and the bus driver, were treated for their wounds. The girl suffered a slash and was treated on scene. The bus driver suffered a minor chest wound while coming to the girl's aid.

According to the school, Wells was a student, but went on leave a few weeks ago. He was not currently living on the campus.
