So, whoever's idea it was to invent a liquor that taste's like my madrinha's Arroz Doce was a genius. It's totally delicious just on its own.  I am talking about Rum Chata people.

So I hope not to sound like an alcoholic because, I'm not, but guess what Snapple, Rum Chata is made from the best stuff on earth. And there's more than one way to enjoy it!.

Here are some fun recipes I wanted to share. You can also find a complete list of Rum Chata recipes on their website too. 21+ Only!~

Rum Chata French Toast (for that early morning start ):

  • 3 Eggs
  • 1/2Cup of Milk
  • 1/4 Cup Rum Chata
  • 8 slices white or french bread
  • 1 tbsp of Butter

Directions: Leave bread in a paper bag overnight to dry out. In a bowl, beat eggs, milk & Rum Chata. Melt butter on a griddle (or frying pan) medium heat. Dip slices of bread in egg mixture then cook until golden brown, 2-3 minutes per side

Rum Chata Cheesecake

  • 15 Graham crackers crushed
  • 2 tbsp butter melted
  • 32 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 3/4 cup Rum Chata
  • 4 Eggs
  • 1 Cup Sour Cream
  • 1 tbsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1/4 cup all purpose flour 

DIRECTIONS: Preheat Oven 350 Degrees. Grease a 9" spring form pan. In a medium bowl, mix graham crackers and melted butter. Press into the bottom of the pan. In a separate, large bowl, mix cream cheese with sugar until smooth. Slowly blend in Rum Chata & Eggs. Mix in Sourcream, vanilla & flour until smooth. Pour filling over prepared crust. Bake for 1 hour. Turn off oven and let the cake cool in the oven for 5-6 hours to prevent cracking. Then chill in refrigerator until serving. Top with fruit or whipped topping if desired.
