Former Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney has made the announcement: He will not run for president in 2016.

He made the announcement three weeks ago that he was considering a third Presidential campaign, but the former governor of Massachusetts said today on a conference call that he is out of the 2016 race.

In the days since announcing that he may run again, he tried to rally support for another campaign, but discovered that many of his past supporters are now supporting former Florida Governor Jeb Bush instead.

Romney had this to say in a statement, "After putting considerable thought into making another run for president, I've decided it is best to give other leaders in the party the opportunity to become our next nominee."
