After performing an original song for her latest appearance on FOX's American Idol, Rochester native Jillian Jensen will be moving on to the live shows beginning next week. According to South Coast Today, she was fighting back tears as she feared she was about to be cut. Harry Connick Jr. made the announcement saying, "Oh man, this is tough... You're in the top 15." Those tears of fear quickly turned to tears of joy as Jensen told the judges, "This was the hardest round. I'm not crying. I'm just freaking out now."

Jensen, a 2010 graduate of Bishop Stang, will compete live Tuesday Feb. 18 at 8 p.m. on FOX. Voting results will be announced on Thursday Feb. 20.

Good luck Jillian! The Southcoast is rooting for you.
