Road Trip Worthy: Pizza with Penguins

If this cold weather has you feeling like you’ve been transported to Antarctica, you might as well meet some of the locals. And pizza is involved!

The Mystic Aquarium is hosting Pizza with Penguins on Friday, January 19th from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. “If Penguins ate pizza, it would have anchovies on it! While anchovies won’t make this menu, kids and adults alike with love all the options on the pizza buffet and beverage bar!” Food is provided by Ocean Blue Catering.

Fan-favorite penguins will make a special appearance in the Main Gallery at 7:30 for the last hour of the event. Plus, meet Petey the Penguin! The Mystic Aquarium is located at 55 Coogan Blvd in Mystic, Connecticut and is about an hour and 45 minutes away from our station here in Fairhaven.

If this event sounds like something that you and the kids might enjoy, they're also hosting Pancakes with Penguins on Saturday, January 13th from 8 to 9:30 am. The breakfast includes a visit from one of the African penguins and their mascot Petey the Penguin.

Breakfast is served buffet style from 8 to 9 am and includes pancakes with assorted toppings, scrambled eggs, sausage and various beverages. If you prefer or need gluten-free pancakes, just call the reservation line and let them know.
