Road Trip Worthy: Glacier Ice Bar and Lounge
Take a trip to the coolest (literally) bar in New England this January.
The Glacier Ice Bar and Lounge is constructed out of over 20,000 pounds of ice and only open a few weekends a year at the Samoset Resort in Rockport, Maine. The bar boasts specialty drinks, ice luges (obviously), and is all completely outdoors giving you the best views no matter where you sit.
To preserve the sculptures, they are covered during the day but open at 5 p.m. to the public. The first weekend the bar is open is January 12-14, then again January 19-20.
The best part? There is no cover charge! So if you're planning a ski weekend in Maine this month, make a pit stop the winter wonderland-y bar.
