American Stonehenge stretches over a 30-acre area in Salem, NH. The stonehenge is over 4,000 years old, making it the oldest man-made construction in the U.S. There are conflicting views on whether the stonehenge was made by Native Americans or migrant European population but regardless, the stones were arragned according to ancient astronomical calendars. It can still be used to track solar and lunar events!

Part of the draw is the fact that there is an ancient sacrifical table on the site - whether your into all things spooky or just like history, it's pretty interesting. There are also six Alpacas on the stonehenge site, which makes your visit so much cuter.

Regardless, it's never a bad thing to get out and explore, take photos, and just appreciate relics from a time long past.
