Another major food maker recall has been issued, this time with Ritz cracker products.

Have kids who love Ritz cracker sandwiches or Ritz Bits? You're going to want to check your boxes before eating any.

Mondelez International has issued a voluntary recall of 16 different Ritz products that could be contaminated with salmonella.

According to their press release, the whey powder used in certain Ritz cracker products was recalled due to the potential presence of Salmonella. This has led to the company to recall any and all products that this whey powder was used in nationwide.

No illnesses have been reported in connection with this recall.

Mondelez International advises any consumers with these potentially affected products to discard them immediately.

Salmonella can cause fever, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain and can lead to death in the very young or the elderly.
