Sick of waiting at the Faunce Corner Road construction?  This one little tip could save massive amounts of time if we get the word out!

If you are sick of waiting in traffic at Faunce Corner Road/Cross Road in Dartmouth...did you know that you can take a right on a red arrow?  The "arrow" signals are just like regular green, yellow, and red lights, but they apply only to the cars in that particular lane.  So a green arrow pointing right means "go right"...and a red arrow pointing right means "stop if you are going right".  But are drivers in Massachusetts allowed to take a right on a red arrow?  Surprisingly, the answer is yes!

We talked to Trooper Sullivan, a spokesperson for the Mass State Police in Framingham, MA.  Trooper Sullivan told us that if there isn't a "No Turn On Red" sign...drivers ARE, in fact, allowed to take a right on a red arrow.

This is supported by Chapter 4 of the Massachusetts Drivers Manual posted on Massachusetts RMV website.  Take note of the "Steady Red Arrow" rule under traffic signals.
