There is a great outdoor event happening this Sunday, October 14th.   It's the annual Buzzard's Bay Watershed bike ride.   The full 75 mile ride gives you a great experience of seeing all the different scenery from the farms of Westport, the harbor view from historic downtown New Bedford, cranberry bogs and the beauty of Cape Cod.  There's also a 35 mile version, where riders begin in Rochester and finish with the other riders in Wood's Hole.   It supports the huge effort to keep all the water that flows into Buzzard's Bay clean and free of  harmful contaminants.

You can ride, cheer or volunteer.   the registration deadline is this Wednesday.   Try it once, and odds are it will become something you look forward to every fall.   Sign up and find out more at www.savebuzzardsbay.org
