The Food Network named a historical Rhode Island diner as being home to the best "Diner Dish" in America.

If you head down 195 to Pawtucket, RI you can find the Modern Diner, birthplace of the diner and home to what the Food Network has dubbed the number one "Diner Dish" in America...Custard French Toast.

The Custard French Toast looks amazing, but Modern Diner owner, Nick Demou, says it was created by accident!

Demou says the delicious dish came out of making too much vanilla pudding one day. He thinned down the extra pudding, served it as a custard with the french toast and added strawberries, bluberries, kiwi, house-candied pecans and raspberry syrup creating a diner breakfast classic!

And now their happy accident tops the Food Network's list of the Top 5 Diner Dishes.

If you want a little more lcoal travel, dish number two is located in Rowley, MA in the Agawam Diner. Definitely sounds like a food road trip is in order!
