Over the weekend dozens of dolphins washed up on the shores of Cape Cod leaving them helpless.

According to southcoasttoday.com, rescuers from the International Fund for Animal Welfare spent Saturday working in Barnstable as 10 dolphins were stranded on Sandy Neck.

5 more dolphins were rescued from Chaplin Beach in Dennis.  On Saturday night a team stayed in Barnstable keeping the dolphins wet and as comfortable as they could while waiting for the IFAW team to show up.  They did their best to help the dolphins, but two of them stranded themselves again in Barnstable Harbor.

By late afternoon, the two dolphins were successfully released at Scusset Beach in Bourne. The IFAW also kept an eye out to ensure the dolphins were safe and did not beach themselves yet again.
