NEW BEDFORD - Another reported shooting in a west end neighborhood that seems to be plagued by gunfire.

According to New Bedford Police, a report of shots fired in the area of 250 Summer Street, near Pope Street, was taken at 8:55 p.m. Thursday. New Bedford Police say Shotspotter was activated.

Police confirm there was property damage as a result of the shooting, but no injuries were reported. Witnesses tell WBSM News a car parked at the address was struck by the gunshots.

Witness also say shortly after the shooting, the house at 250 Summer Street was tagged with graffiti, which spelled out "WOMAN BEATER" and "GANG GANG." Police say it's not known when the graffiti was placed on the building.

New Bedford Police are investigating.

The neighborhood has had several incidents of gunfire within the past month, including reported shootings on January 11 and January 10.
