Remember the Time Martha Stewart Visited New Bedford?

Remember the time Martha Stewert visited New Bedford? Because I had no clue!

Somewhere along the line, I realized that Martha Stewart was a blogger and low and behold, she wrote a review about a popular Portuguese New Bedford restaurant, Antonio's.

Not only did I just find find out she blogs for her website TheMarthaBlog.com, she also writes exquisitely. I mean, just check out one of her lines from her raving review:

"The seafood that we tasted was impeccably fresh and very tasty." -Martha Stewart

Key word: "Impeccably."

What I want to know is, what the heck was Stewrt doing here in New Bedford? Don't get me wrong, there's a lot to offer here in the Whaling City. I just find it extremely random.

Yes, I know, before you jump down my throat, I am aware that numerous celebrities have either visited or lived around the SouthCoast area. I'm simply stating that of all people, it's a bit unorthodox to run into the lifestyle guru. Perhaps she had a book signing of sorts. Who knows?

I am, however, happy to see Stewart write such a positive article about a local favorite right here in New Bedford, placing Antonio's on the map.

Oh, by the way, if you're wondering when this all went down? It was on July 22--nine years ago. And of course, I'm just stumbling across this now. Still pretty neat if you ask me.
