Rehoboth is one of 200 towns across the country cracking down on distracted and impaired driving.

They tell NBC 10 that they have already run several 'sting operations' to catch drivers that are texting while traveling through town.

They'll have plainclothes officers out observing drivers and if you are spotted driving distracted, they'll radio to an officer down the road who will then pull you over and either issue a citation or a verbal warning.

The increased officer presence is thanks to a grant from the Highway Safety Division of the Executive Office of Public Safety and Security.

The goal is to crack down on drivers putting themselves or others in danger.
