Register to Volunteer for Hunger Heroes Today

Can you believe it's been 24 years in a row for Cans Across the Park that has helped so many local families through the United Way of Greater New Bedford?

This year our collection event will be November 12, from 10 am to 2 pm with a different twist. In previous years, the community has dropped off food items to be lined up across Buttonwood Park. Starting this year, we're asking you to drop off specific food items in front of the Buttonwood Park Warming House.

We'll bring the food inside and sort it. Then, a week later, on Saturday, November 19th, you can help us create 500 Thanksgiving Day Baskets to be assembled via the Hunger Heroes Program. Families are very much encouraged to volunteer together!
