After a night of errors and bumblings from the St. Louis Cardinals, the Boston Red Sox take Game 1 of the World Series with a score of 8-1.

Some highlights include a fantastic display of pitching by Jon Lester, a three run double from Mike Napoli, and a post season homerun from "Big Papi" David Ortiz, who almost got a grand slam that was taken by Carlos Beltran of the Cardinals, who ended him injuring himself in the process with a rib contusion. Not a good sign for the Cardinals.

So one down, four to go. The Sox play Game 2 tonight (10/24) at 7:30pm. Go Red Sox!
