There's a new hotel in Boston... Hotel Fenway.

Clay Buchholz, Mike Napoli, and John Lackey spent Sunday night at the ballpark but the players probably would have been better off sleeping in their own beds for the night. Dan Shaunghnessey of The Boston Globe reported that the players decided to spend the night to avoid being late for the traditional Marathon Monday first pitch of 11:09 a.m. Sunday's game was aired on ESPN's, Sunday Night Baseball, which did not end until 10:41 p.m.

An area featuring six beds was added as part of an extensive renovation in December 2001. It is located directly above the clubhouse. John Farrell spoke to the media about the slumber party but based on the team's performance it didn't seem like such a great idea.

Napoli definitely didn't sleep well saying, "I had Lackey above me and that scared me a little bit — that he was going to fall through."

Maybe John Henry should get the team some memory foam mattresses to make for the best night's sleep next time the team has a sleepover.
