I hate crime always, but I really hate it when it involves a defenseless dog. A Randolph man is in a bit of trouble and is charged with animal cruelty after an officer found his dog in a box truck at night, without food or water.

According to WFXT-TV, an officer on a routine patrol saw a white box truck with its cargo door partially open. He looked inside the truck and saw a large dog tied to an interior bar. The officer was worried for the dog, as it was 29 degrees outside. The canine did not have any food or water and was standing in a puddle of his own urine.

The officer contacted the owner of the truck and after a short investigation found that the dog was tied to the inside of the truck every night. As a result, the 31-year-old owner was charged with cruelty to animals and the dog was removed from the situation.
