Quahog Republic’s Most Underrated Menu Item
If you're lucky enough to be able to buy one of the Quahog Republic's $50 gift cards for half price later this morning, there's a menu item that you might not think of ordering—but you should!
The Whaler's Tavern in New Bedford is part of the Quahog Republic's group of restaurants here on the SouthCoast of Massachusetts. The Quahog Republic also consists of the Captain's Den in Plymouth, The Waterfront Eatery in Onset and the Quahog Republic Dive Bar in Falmouth.
Not surprisingly, some of their mainstays are seafood related. Their Monsta Lobsta roll is insanely big with over half a pound of lobster meat. Their chowder, which features (what else) quahogs, is the Quahog Republic's most popular item.
One item that you probably don't think about, though, is one of the Quahog Republic's most underrated items. If you get one of the Seize The Deal gift cards at half price, make sure you give the chicken wings a try. What makes them so good is that they are obviously hand selected. Each buffalo wing is big and plump. No skinny, scrawny wings allowed in the Quahog Republic. Their wings come with your choice of plain, buffalo, or bbq sauce. I'd rank these wings among the best on the SouthCoast. They are not to be missed.
