Proposal at the 2017 New Bedford Half Marathon

Lauren Green proposed to her girlfriend, Katelyn Germano yesterday after Katelyn finished the New Bedford Half Marathon. She said YES!

We asked Lauren about the idea and she said, "I planned this for about 2 months. My mom Debra Bernard was very patient with and helped me pick out the ring. Our friend Bernadette made sure to be with me so she could capture the special moment. Katelyn runs the New Bedford half every year and this year she made a new personal record which made the proposal even better cause she was crying at the finish line."

In a very clever proposal, Lauren was prepared with a sign that read, "Will You Be My Other 13.1?" Love how she used a play on words with the HALF marathon! Congratulations ladies!
