Popular Southcoast Restaurant Confirms Norovirus With Several Getting Sick

Abc6 news reports that the Rhode Island Department of Health confirmed this morning that roughly 30 people got sick after eating at Wright’s Farm in Burrillville earlier this week.

Samples collected from the restaurant tested positive for norovirus.

Frank Galleshaw who is the restaurant owner released a statement yesterday and part of it said: “After this week’s incident, we are taking every measure to ensure the safety of our guests. In the 44 years of owning and operating Wright’s Farm Restaurant, we have never experienced an incident like this. We will remain closed to continue a thorough, ongoing sanitation and cleaning process. We will re-open March 24^th.”

Bryant University’s Men’s Lacrosse team had to cancel their game earlier this week after getting very sick from eating at the restaurant.
