A New Bedford man is scheduled to appear Monday in District Court on drug and motor vehicle charges.

Twenty-year old Rafeal Vega was arrested Friday night after members of the Narcotics Division carried out a search warrant at his residence, 117-Coffin Avenue, apartment two.

Inside, Police found 21 grams of crack cocaine, 17 grams of fentanyl, some packaging materials and $287 in cash.

According to Police, Vega was also observed operating a motor vehicle, but is known to be unlicensed.

He faces four counts of drug trafficking, two counts of possession with intent to distribute, and being an unlicensed operator.

Police also sayVega has a prior drug conviction in 2012.
