Police Investigating Possible Murder In New Bedford

New Bedford Police answered a 911 call early this morning regarding a man being shot inside a home at 25 Austin Street.  They found the 29-year-old Scott Sousa unconscious.  He was rushed to St. Luke's Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Sousa apparently lived at the Austin Street address where he was found.   State Police detectives and the District Attorney's office have joined the New Bedford police in their investigation.  They are now asking anyone who may have information about this apparent murder to call New Bedford at 508-991-6300, or use the DA's anonymous text a tip program.   Do that by logging on to tipsubmit.com or by texting "call50" to 274637.
