Police Investigating Armed Robbery Report in New Bedford’s North End

NEW BEDFORD - Police are releasing limited details about a reported armed robbery just before midnight Wednesday in New Bedford.

According to police documents, officers responded to a report of an armed robbery at the Sunoco station at 2942 Acushnet Avenue in the North End, across from Trucchi's Supermarket. The robbery was reported at 11:55 p.m. Wednesday.

Police are not releasing a description of the suspect or if anyone was injured during the reported incident.

Police will only say that there is an active investigation concerning the report.
