Police Hunt For New Bedford Bank Robber

A bank robber is on the loose in New Bedford.  Police say a man entered St. Anne's Credit Union at 3087 Acushent Avenue early Tuesday afternoon, pulled out a handgun and demanded cash. 

Det. Capt. Steven Vicente says no one was hurt in the incident.  The suspect was last seen running from the bank in a northerly direction carrying an orange bag.

He's described as a white male, about 5-6, wearing a grey sweatshirt and a plastic type mask .  Anyone with information should call 508 991-6300, ext 148.
