New Bedford Police arrest a Fall River man and charge him with trafficking in cocaine.

According to Lt. Amos Melo, officers stopped a motor vehicle just after 5pm on Friday in the area of 48 Coggeshall Street and arrested 24 year old Malcolm Perez of Fall River.

Police recovered 127 grams of cocaine and $160 dollars in cash. Police say the drugs have a street value of $10,000.

Lt. Melo says the arrest was part of an investigation into narcotics deliveries in the City of New Bedford.

Perez is scheduled to appear Tuesday in New Bedford District Court.
