‘Polar Plunge’ 2017 At The Back Eddy In Westport, MA [VIDEO]

"3....2....1....JUMP!"My friends and I have a tradition. Every New Years Day, we gather together and jump into the frigid waters of the Westport River at the Back Eddy Restaurant.

The best part about the plunge is that anyone who jumps gets a delicious complimentary brunch! Freeze your buns off and eat for free?! Now that's my kind of deal!

Oh... and if you're wondering why balloons in the shape of the numbers "3" and "0" went for a swim as well, that' because we had a VERY special birthday in the group! The same guy who lost his flip-flop (that I saved), Mr. Phillip Devitt, celebrated his "Dirty Thirty", 30th birthday, by participating for the very first time in his life in a Polar Plunge!
