Summer is not officially over yet, but many people look forward to the Fall season and checking out the beautiful colors that come with it.  Here are some dates to mark on your calendar for the best times to see peak foliage in New England.

September 23rd.  That's the weekend to see great colors if you wish to travel north to New Hampshire or the western part of Maine, according to patch.com.  Could be a great weekend trip but don't forget your camera.

October 14th.  Columbus day weekend is when colors along the North Shore area of Massachusetts are expected to be at their peak.

October 21st.  This is the weekend when the central portion of Massachusetts and the northern part of Rhode Island are forecast to have the best colors.

October 28th.  The weekend before Halloween is when the Patch website tells us that we can expect the best fall colors here in Southeastern Massachusetts.  This all depends on the weather of course, but if you're planning some fall trips, this a good timeline to follow.
