Early Wednesday morning, a UPS cargo plane crashed near the airport in Birmingham, Alabama. We have learned that the crash has claimed the lives of both the pilot and co-pilot.

NBC reports that there wer eonly two people abroad the plane, an The Airbus A306 that was flying in from Louisville, Kentucky. The plane crashed just 900 yards away from the nearby Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport.

The NTSB is going to do a full investigation to determine what caused the crash. UPS says that the only two people involved were the pilot and co-pilot. No other individuals were hurt, but many were left without power when the plane cam in contact with power lines when the plane went down.
