Picking your own apples is easily one of the favorite pastimes of folks in our area. Not only do you have the chance to meet the farmers responsible for these great little treats, but picking your own apples is a fun way to spend time with your family outdoors.  If you're thinking about taking your family out to the orchard this year, here's a list of great PYO farms in our area.

Dartmouth Orchards, 515 Old Westport Road, Dartmouth, MA
Pick your own apples during the weekends from September to October. Call ahead just to be sure the orchard is open. (508) 992-9337

Keith's Farm, 1149 Main St, Acushnet, Massachusetts
Apple picking is from 9:00am - 5;oopm on Saturdays and Sundays. Call head before you go to make sure they're open. (508) 763-2622

Pocasset Orchards, 1427 Old Fall River Rd., Dartmouth, MA
Pick your own Cortland and Macintosh apples on Saturdays from 2:00 - 6:00pm during the fall. Be sure to call ahead before you go, as the orchard is closed some Saturdays. (508) 995-5019
