Jennifer Bradford of Fort Worth, Texas decided to create a petition on Change.org on Tuesday, June 2nd. She was hoping for about 5,000 signatures to support her request for the International Olympic Committee to take back the gold medal Caitlyn Jenner won in the decathlon at the 1976 Olympics.

"We congratulate Ms. Jenner on these new developments and wish her the best," the petition states. "However, this creates somewhat of a problem as Ms. Jenner (as talented as she is) claims that she has always believed herself to be truly female, and therefore, was in violation of committee rules regarding women competing in men's sports and vice versa."

She has since received nearly 10,000 supporters online.

Personally, I think the petition is absurd. Jenner was male and not taking any hormones at the time. Even if Jenner was taking hormones, that would put her at a disadvantage against other runners. I hope Bradford doesn't actually think this will spark any action. I think she just wants to open the conversation for further review. What do you have to say about #GiveBackTheGold ?
