Kirk Douglas will be turning 98 within the week and instead of celebrating an achievement, People Magazine accidentally published his obituary!

According to Huffington Post, Kirk Douglas is alive and well but that didn't stop People Magazine from getting a head start writing and published an article with his obituary in it. The article was not meant to be published judging for it's titled, "DO NOT PUB, Kirk Douglas Dies". The article read, "Kirk Douglas, one of the few genuine box-office names to emerge just as TV was overtaking American culture in the years right after World War II, died TK TK TK,". The article said, with the "TK" referring to 'copy to come.'

The article continued on saying, "He was 97 (DOB 12/9/1916) and had been in good health despite having suffered a debilitating 1996 stroke that rendered his speech difficult."

Though it is not uncommon for news websites to write about notable people's deaths in advance, all of them are set aside until the actor actually passes. People magazine has yet to mention who published the article.
