Planters and Noon Whistle Brewing Co. are creating a new beer called Mr. IPA-Nut.

According to AdAge.com, the IPA should taste like citrus with a hint of honey-roasted peanuts finishing with a hint of salt. The beer is 6.3 percent alcohol by volume, which is about two percent stronger than an average beer.

Though it may seem strange that a peanut company is starting to produce beer, it is becoming more common that brand companies collaborate in beer. Dunkin' just came out with the Harpoon Dunkin' Coffee Porter, IHOP just released its IHOP Pumpkin Pancake Stout, and now Planters is coming out with Mr. IPA-Nut.

Mr. IPA-Nut will first be put on the shelves on October 27. However, it will only be sold at certain relaters in Illinois and at Noon Whistle Brewing Co., at least for now. Mr. IPA-Nut will be sold in four-packs for $9.99 and will hopefully reach the East Coast real soon.
