The New England Patriots made two big roster moves today, as they prepare for their divisional match up with the Buffalo Bills on Sunday.

First, New England bolstered their linebacking group by re-signing linebacker Dekoda Watson. Watson was with the team this preseason but was cut at the end of August. After the team released Eric Martin, earlier in the week, a void was created in the linebacking unit.

The second major move reportedly made by New England today was the acquisition of wide receiver/ return specialist Keshawn Martin from the Houston Texans.

The move to bring in Martin comes just a day after the Pats cut undrafted rookie receiver Chris Harper. Martin will likely step into the receiving rotation as the fourth option, as the Patriots are lacking in depth at the position behind Julian Edelman, Danny Amendola and Aaron Dobson.

Brandon LaFell, who was placed on the PUP list to start the season, will most likely be back on the roster by the end of October. Until then, Martin will have the chance to prove that he is a legitimate option for New England moving forward.

The Patriots also signed linebacker Eric Martin to the team's practice squad.
