Someone on the Patriots digital team is having a pretty bad day today after an accidental tweet containing a racial slur.

It all started yesterday, when the Pats were looking to reach 1 million followers on Twitter. The team tweeted out to fans asking them to retweet a message about their 1 million followers. The millionth follower would win a customized Patriots jersey with their twitter handle on the back.  The problem was...the Patriots seemingly set up an "auto" reply to the millionth tweet.  What could possibly go wrong?

Well, something did go horribly wrong.  Because the Patriot's response was automated, the customized jersey went out to every single person that tweeted at them, no matter the name.

So when a Twitter page with a horrible racial slur in its name tweeted at the Patriots, they got the jersey too, with their racist name on it.

Luckily, it was taken down about 45 minutes after it was posted, but it still didn't stop other people on Twitter from seeing it,
